Here is a loom knit lace handkerchief pattern that I've been testing out for awhile. I was trying to finish it before my daughters wedding last August, wanting her to have a keepsake. I thought I would share it now for those who have upcoming weddings.
My first attempt using pima cotton turned out too thick but it is a wonderful doily. For this version, I used silk. I'll admit, this one is very lacy and is more useful to dab tears then use as a true handkerchief. I do love how lacy it is and I think it gives it an old fashioned heirloom look. I think it will be a nice keepsake for the bride and could later be used as a doily in her home or turned into a baby bonnet for a christening.
The handkerchief has a wedding ring in the center!
The stitch key/glossary is at the end of this pattern.
